- Hi, I'm Al! I spent last year teaching small French children English. Now I'm heading south to Louisiana to start my MFA/MA. Abroad generally means "in or to a foreign country," but it can also mean "in different directions" "over a wide area" and "freely moving about." I think I still qualify as abroad, though not in the traditional sense. I am certain southern Louisiana will provide some stories.
